Job Description: The Silicon Validation team of DHG is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Recent College Graduate hardware/firmware engineer to join
our engineering team working on next generation Media Processing Component platforms.
In this position, you will be working with multiple partners and stakeholders in the US and APAC regions. Your responsibilities will include:
Silicon validation and system validation on hardware boards and running debug software/firmware.
Take ownership on SoC silicon module debug, such as in DDR2/DDR3/VR/Clocks/PCIE/SATA or other IO Audio/Video modules etc.
Communicate with multiple Geo silicon design and silicon validation teams on sighting debug and status update.
Execute SV test plans and provide progress and results in a timely manner.
Provide technical support on deployed development platforms and reference designs; include design reviews, debug, and potential on site
debug at ODM/OEM


Qualifications
Candidate must posses a graduate degree in electronics engineering or SW discipline with strong tendency towards hardware hands on
experience. Additional qualifications include:
Experience in board debug, soldering and rework.
Experience in schematic entry or schematic review.
Experience in board layout methodology and signal integrity and simulation with PSpice a plus.
Experience in desktop or mobile board validation.
Experience in IA CPU/MCH/ICH & SOC architecture.
Excellent board-level debug capability by utilizing DMM, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etc.
Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills.
Ability in EMC/EMI testing and related I/O (USB/HDMI etc.) port interference debug.
Ability to own and drive resolution of technical issues.
Ability to develop effective partnerships with stakeholders & demonstrate excellent customer orientation.
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic multi-geographical environment.
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
Willingness to travel to customer s site.
Software background with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as some working knowledge of BIOS programming, high level,
or scripting languages (e.g. C, Perl, etc.) will be an advantage.
System knowledge in Set-Top-Box design and Digital TV platforms hardware architecture would be an added advantage.
