Liu Hong, Doctor of Engineering, Professor of Peking University, Doctoral Supervisor. The first batch of scientific and technological innovation leading talents of the national "10,000 Talents Plan", the expert of the overall expert group of the national key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology "intelligent robots", the vice chairman of the Chinese Engineering Intelligence Society, and the member of the Sixth CPPCC Committee of Shenzhen.
He has long been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of computer vision and intelligent robots, machine learning and intelligent human-computer interaction. He has studied under academicians Cai Hegao, Wang Xuan, Shi Qingyun and other well-known experts. He has visited many famous universities and research institutions in the United States, Canada, Japan and Singapore.
He has undertaken more than 20 national-level important scientific research projects, including 863 projects, 973 projects, national key research and development program projects, new generation artificial intelligence major projects and national natural science foundation key projects. He has published more than 200 academic papers, and his research achievements in recent years have been cited more than 5,000 times by peer research institutions at home and abroad, and more than 40 national invention patents have been declared/obtained. He has won the National Aerospace Science and Technology Progress Award, Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, Geneva International Invention Exposition Award, Peking University Teaching Excellence Award, Aetna Award and Peking University "Top Ten Teachers" candidate.
As the first national "10,000 people plan" leader in Shenzhen's education industry, Professor Liu Hong has focused on the artificial intelligence and robotics he loves for more than 20 years, and has trained more than 100 master's and doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, and is an active advocate of the construction of new disciplines of "intelligent science and technology" in China and a dedicated practitioner of scientific and technological innovation in the field of intelligent robots. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Professor Liu Hong's research features will focus on the fields of "robot visual perception and autonomous learning".
