In recent years, Dr. Chen has devoted his research to deep learning, computer vision and pattern recognition, as well as medical image analysis. He has published/accepted a number of high-level articles, including IJCV (2018 impact factor 11.5, the highest impact factor in the field of ARTIFICIAL intelligence); TPAMI (2018 impact factor 9.5, one of the highest impact factors in the field of artificial intelligence); TIP, PR, TMM, TSMC, AND CVPR (one of which was accepted as Oral, with an admission rate of 1.72%) were cited more than 840 times. According to WOS Core, this paper ranked 56th in the world in terms of citation in all artificial intelligence fields during the five years from 2010 to 2014 Dr. Chen Jie is also actively involved in international academic activities, such as he is now the Associate Editor of the international journal The Journal of Visual Computer, and is a reviewer for many top international journals and conferences (e.g. IJCV, TPAMI, TNNLS, TIP, PR, TIFTS, CVPR, ICCV, MICCAI, IJCAI, etc.). He is also active in organizing workshops for top international conferences, such as (ICCV, CVPR and ACCV); and in special issues of top international journals such as IJCV, TPAMI and Neurocomputing.
Dr. Jie Chen worked at the University of Oulu, Finland from 2007 to 2018 (Professor Matti Pietikainen, IEEE Fellow). Visited the University of Maryland in 2012 (Professor Rama Chellappa, IEEE Fellow) and in 2015 visited Duke University (Professor Guillermo Sapiro).
